Smart Coast California

“One California, One Coast”

Summit program 2024.

To effectively plan for sea level rise, it is crucial to have a comprehensive understanding of the entire coastline, including our cherished California beaches, both those located in open-ocean areas, and our natural bays and man-made harbors, as well as our valuable coastal wetlands and estuaries. In many areas, Joint Powers Authorities, Regional Governments, and Non-Governmental Organizations are taking the lead in addressing sea level rise related issues. These entities are bringing together experts from academia, government, and the private sector to develop innovative and collaborative solutions.

Panelists:
Darbi Berry, Director San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative
Margaret Bruce, Exec. Dir. San Francisquito Joint Powers Authority
Tegan Hoffman, PhD, Executive Director, Coastal Quest
Moderator: Lynette Cervantes, AICP
